HiddenPerks ("we", "us") helps people find senior discounts at local and national businesses. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used. We don't require an account or login to use the app.

What we collect

Search terms, category, and ZIP code you enter to find discounts. These are sent to our server to return results and are not linked to your identity or sold to anyone.
ZIP-based "Near Me" searches are passed to Google's Geocoding and Places APIs to find nearby businesses. We cache those results briefly on our server to speed up repeat searches; we don't store a history of your searches.
Local business submissions: if you submit a local business discount, we store the business details you provide (name, address, discount, etc.) along with an optional email address if you choose to give one, so we can follow up with questions. Submitted business details become public only after we review and approve them; your email address is never shown publicly.
Anonymous analytics via GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that doesn't use cookies or track you individually — it only tells us aggregate things like which pages are visited and how often.

What we don't do

We don't require sign-up, passwords, or accounts to search for discounts.
We don't sell or share your information with advertisers.
We don't use tracking cookies or cross-site ad tracking.

Third parties

We use Google's Geocoding/Places APIs to power ZIP-based "Near Me" search, and Anthropic's Claude API internally to help our team research discount details. Neither service receives anything beyond the ZIP code or business name needed to perform that lookup.
